Nacho, who is 34 years old, joined Madrid’s youth academy at the age of 10 and made 364 appearances for the club since his senior debut in 2012. His final match was the unforgettable 2-0 Champions League final victory over Borussia Dortmund earlier this month, where he became one of just five players in the club’s history to achieve six European Cup triumphs.
Currently, Nacho is with the Spain squad at Euro 2024 and is set to start a new chapter with Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah. Captain Nacho’s stated, “After months of reflection, indecision, and doubts, I’ve decided that I need to pursue one last and unique experience with my family and now is the perfect time.” He has 26 international caps to his name. During his time at Madrid, Nacho won four La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, five Club World Cups, four European Super Cups, and five Spanish Super Cups.
