AC Milan aims to replicate the ambiance of an “NBA experience” by introducing new seating arrangements between the dugouts at the San Siro stadium. These seats offer an unparalleled view of the pitch inspired by the courtside seating seen at basketball games along with added perks like padded seats and a dedicated concierge service. The club showcased these enhancements during their recent Europa League victory over Roma with Italian rappers Ghali and Blanco among the inaugural guests drawing inspiration from the NBA tradition of celebrity attendance.
Similar experiences are offered by other clubs such as Manchester City ‘Tunnel Club’ at the Etihad Stadium. However, Milan tenure at the San Siro their home for nearly a century, may be drawing to a close as plans are underway to construct a new 70,000-seat stadium in the city’s south. Inter Milan, their co-tenants and city rivals are also contemplating their own stadium project elsewhere.
