Arsenal Midfielder Jorginho Signs New Short-Term Deal

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has extended his contract with the Premier League club. The 32 years old, who initially signed an 18 months deal upon joining from Chelsea in January 2023 has agreed to a new “short-term deal” as described by the club. With 35 appearances across all competitions this season where he scored once the Brazil-born Italy international expressed his delight in remaining with the Gunners emphasizing the privilege of being part of the club.

Jorginho who spent over four years at Chelsea before his move to Arsenal cited the team’s “special moment” under manager Mikel Arteta. Arteta in turn praised Jorginho importance to the team, highlighting his leadership qualities and unique playing style that elevates the performance of those around him. Arsenal is set to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on May 12 followed by a home fixture against Everton on the final day of the season on May 19.
