After an arresting season with the Cops, Police midfielder Fadi Awad has been rewarded with a call-up to the Jordanian national team for the Asian Cup in Qatar from Jan 12-Feb 10.
He has been a standout player for Malaysian Super League club Police FC this season, making 30 appearances across all competitions.
Awad will face Malaysia in Jordan’s first group stage match at the tournament on January 16th. He is looking forward to playing against the country where he has played club football.
Awad had previously worked as a police sergeant in Jordan, so playing for Malaysian police team Police FC was a good fit due to his background in law enforcement.
Jordan will be hoping Awad can bring his defensive midfield skills and work rate to help the national team at the Asian Cup in Qatar.
