Former Italy star Emmanuele Giaccherini has come to the defense of Victor Osimhen after the Napoli forward missed a penalty against Juventus. Despite the miss, Napoli won the match 2-1 with Giancomo Raspadori scoring from the rebound.
Osimhen has missed three of seven penalties for Napoli in the 2022-23 season but Giaccherini believes that one should not judge a player solely based on penalty kicks.
He emphasized Osimhen overall contribution on the pitch, praising his ability to draw multiple opponents and highlighting the potential of Osimhen partnership with Kvara as an asset for Napoli in Italy and Europe.
