UB40 the iconic Birmingham band, is set to headline an Easter Monday event at Birmingham City Football Club stadium which will also serve as the official renaming ceremony. Following Birmingham City match against Preston North End the band will perform as part of the Easter Monday Double Header. The stadium will be rebranded as St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park.
This event marks the beginning of UB40 world tour during which they will showcase new material from their upcoming UB45 album. Birmingham City CEO Garry Cook described the event as a celebration of the city, featuring both its football team and its beloved band. UB40 Robin Campbell expressed pride in starting their world tour at the stadium, emphasizing the band’s deep connection to Birmingham.
The performance is scheduled to begin at approximately 17:45 BST and will last for an hour.
