Brighton’s Europa League Adventure Comes to an End, Eyes on Premier League Success

Brighton’s Europa League campaign came to an end despite a commendable 1-0 victory over Roma at the Amex Stadium. Danny Welbeck’s goal in the 37th minute provided hope after trailing 4-0 from the first leg. However, Roma’s goalkeeper Mile Svilar made crucial saves to deny Brighton further goals allowing Roma to advance comfortably with a 4-1 aggregate win.

Brighton now shifts focus to the Premier League for European qualification. Manager Roberto De Zerbi praised his team’s performance expressing confidence in their ability to qualify for Europe through the league. Welbeck and former Brighton forward Sam Baldock reflected positively on Brighton’s efforts. Opta stats highlighted Brighton’s unbeaten home run while Roma’s manager Daniele De Rossi acknowledged Brighton’s resilience.

Brighton’s next fixture is against Liverpool at Anfield on March 31.
