British No 1 Katie Boulter Secures WTA 500 Final Spot in Style

Katie Boulter expressed her commitment to enjoying her time on the court after securing a spot in the San Diego Open final by defeating Emma Navarro. The British No 1 who reached her first WTA 500 tournament final, won with a decisive 6-3, 6-1 victory.

Boulter’s impressive start to the year includes defeating her third top 30 opponent  ensuring a significant rise in her rankings. The 27 years old dominated on her serve against Navarro winning over 87% of first-serve points. Boulter aims to continue having fun in her biggest career final against Marta Kostyuk.

Kostyuk ranked No 34 also had a notable week overcoming a 5-1 deficit to defeat top-seed Jessica Pegula and reach her first final against a top five player.
