Chelsea is exploring alternatives to Victor Osimhen who is now a target for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to replace Kylian Mbappe following Mbappe’s announcement of leaving PSG in the summer. Real Madrid is pursuing Mbappe who has expressed his desire to leave on a free transfer.
PSG plans to reinvest the funds saved by letting Mbappe go into squad improvement. PSG is now eyeing Osimhen with a release clause of £113m in his Napoli contract. Chelsea is among the interested clubs but PSG’s financial capabilities may pose a challenge for Chelsea.
Chelsea is also considering Ivan Toney and Evan Ferguson but will explore further options. The club aims to sell players to balance finances for ambitious plans to strengthen the squad with a new centre-back, left-back and striker.
