Crystal Palace Signs Colombian Defender Daniel Munoz in £6.8m Deal

Crystal Palace has secured the signing of Colombia right-back Daniel Munoz from Genk on a three year contract worth 8 million euros (£6.8 million) with an option for an additional year. Munoz aged 27, moved to Belgium in 2020 and won the Belgian Cup in his debut season.

He made his international debut in 2021 earning 23 caps and reaching the semi-finals of the Copa America that year. Munoz expressed his excitement to join Palace describing it as a pleasure to join such a historic and prominent club.

There were reports of Munoz going on strike at Genk to push for a move to Palace. Munoz who will join fellow Colombian Jefferson Lerma at Selhurst Park has played 17 league games this season scoring five goals and providing one assist.
