Diogo Dalot Addresses Defensive Issues Amid Manchester United’s Draw with Bournemouth

Despite Manchester United conceding at least 20 shots in nine of their last 10 Premier League matches, manager Erik ten Hag downplays the issue. The team’s defensive vulnerabilities were evident in their recent game against Bournemouth where they allowed the opposition to take the lead twice. Right-back Diogo Dalot acknowledges the problem of conceding too many chances particularly due to the gap between the defense and midfield. While disappointed with the draw against Bournemouth, Dalot remains optimistic and emphasizes the team’s fighting spirit.

Youngster Willy Kambwala faced challenges but showed promise especially after his solid performance against Liverpool. Dalot praises Kambwala character and believes he will succeed at the club. Looking ahead to the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry, Dalot sees it as a significant opportunity for United to reach the final and salvage their season. Despite injury issues plaguing the team, Dalot emphasizes the importance of staying physically and mentally prepared to contribute effectively.
