George Russell Optimistic as Mercedes Resolves W15 Stability Issues

George Russell is optimistic about the Mercedes W15 stating that the new car has addressed the rear instability issues that plagued its predecessor the W14 throughout the previous season. The W14 marked the first Mercedes car not to win a Grand Prix since 2011.

Russell noted an improvement in the W15’s consistency and expressed confidence in driving the car emphasizing the team’s focus on rectifying flaws from the previous model. He highlighted the need for more downforce and acknowledged the challenge of finding the sweet spot within the current regulations.

Despite improvements, Russell acknowledges the competitive effort required to close the gap with teams like Red Bull.
