Golden Snooker Ball: Riyadh Masters Offers £395,000 Prize for Historic 167 Break

The Riyadh Season World Masters has introduced a new golden snooker ball worth 20 points providing the opportunity for players like Ronnie O’Sullivan to achieve a maximum break of 167 in Saudi Arabia. A substantial £395,000 cash prize awaits the first player to pot the golden ball and complete a 167 break.

Rules specify that the 23rd ball on the table can only be potted after a 147 break with any other attempt constituting a foul. Notable players participating in the tournament include Luca Brecel, Judd Trump, Mark Allen, Mark Selby, Shaun Murphy and others.

Making a 167 break would create history in the World Snooker Tour. While the concept of a golden ball is not entirely new, this tournament adds an intriguing twist to snooker competitions. Only the first player to achieve the 167 break will claim the prize according to World Snooker Tour rules.

The potential historic moment adds excitement to the event and presents a significant cash incentive for the participants.
