Arsenal is reportedly considering parting ways with Brazilian winger Marquinhos following a lackluster loan spell at Nantes. Acquired for £3 million in 2022, Marquinhos impressed initially earning a long-term contract.
After a stint with Norwich City he moved to Nantes on loan but made limited appearances. Arsenal is said to have arranged another loan with Fluminense including an option for a permanent deal. This represents a shift in stance considering the club’s pursuit of Marquinhos previously angered Sao Paulo’s coach.
Despite high hopes, Marquinhos has yet to match the impact of Gabriel Martinelli another young Brazilian talent nurtured by Arsenal.
