Injury Blow for England: Scrum-Half Alex Mitchell to Miss Six Nations Clash Against Scotland

England scrum-half Alex Mitchell will miss the upcoming Six Nations match against Scotland due to a knee injury. The 26 years old who started in England’s victories against Italy and Wales in the tournament will undergo further investigation to assess the severity of the injury.

Danny Care or Ben Spencer are potential replacements for Mitchell in the Calcutta Cup clash. Bristol scrum-half Harry Randall has been added to the training squad as cover. Mitchell has been a key player for England since the last autumn’s World Cup.

England is currently second in the Six Nations standings trailing behind Ireland. The squad for the Scotland match includes a mix of experienced and young players.
