The reigning M-League champions, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) hold the 13th position in the 2025 Club World Cup Asian rankings. With 38 points comprising 12 competition points and 26 match points the Southern Tigers secured eight wins, two draws and nine losses.
In the ASEAN region, JDT is the second highest ranked team trailing behind Thailand’s BG Pathum United positioned at ninth with 46 points. The top two teams in the Asian rankings, Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia (106 points) and Urawa Reds from Japan (49 points) have already qualified for the 2025 Club World Cup.
The remaining top 10 teams include Jeonbuk Motors, Ulsan Hyundai, Kawasaki Frontale, Al-Nassr, Pohang Steelers, Al-Duhail and Yokohama F Marinos.
