Kane Williamson to Miss T20 Series Against Pakistan Due to Hamstring Strain

New Zealand’s test captain, Kane Williamson, will be absent from the final three Twenty20 matches against Pakistan due to a minor hamstring strain, the team announced on Tuesday. Williamson, who has dealt with injuries in recent years, suffered the strain while batting in the second Twenty20 in Hamilton, a match won by the Black Caps, giving them a 2-0 lead in the series. New Zealand Cricket stated that the timeline for Williamson’s rehabilitation is still under consideration, with the aim of having him ready for selection in the upcoming test series against South Africa. New Zealand is set to face an inexperienced South Africa team in two tests scheduled for February in Mount Maunganui and Hamilton.
