LIV Golf’s Star Rahm Misses PGA Tour, Hopes for Future Comeback Amidst Mergers

Jon Rahm the highest ranked player in the LIV Golf League admits missing recent PGA Tour events but stands by his decision to join LIV. Despite missing tournaments like the WM Phoenix Open, Rahm with a reported £450m deal expresses no regrets. He hopes to compete in PGA Tour events again especially if the tours merge.

Rahm enjoyed his first LIV experience highlighting its unique atmosphere. Meanwhile, Justin Thomas among others believes LIV Golf players returning to the PGA Tour shouldn’t be granted an easy comeback echoing sentiments from Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler. Negotiations between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund continue raising questions about the future of LIV and its players.

The Strategic Sports Group has invested $1.5bn in PGA Tour Enterprises potentially shaping the tour’s future structure. Justin Thomas sees this as an exciting development that can enhance the fan experience.
