Liverpool Sticks to 2% Ticket Price Hike Despite Fan Protests

Liverpool is moving forward with their plans to increase ticket prices by 2% for next season, despite objections from supporters. Fans showed their disapproval during Thursday’s match against Atalanta by abstaining from displaying flags in the Kop section. Following a meeting between Liverpool representatives and the supporters board on Saturday, both parties agreed that there needs to be more meaningful engagement regarding ticket prices.

However, the club has confirmed that the 2% increase will not be reversed. Additionally, Liverpool has decided to put a pause on plans to increase membership prices following the meeting. Prior to the protests on Thursday, manager Jurgen Klopp expressed hope for a resolution between the club and its fans emphasizing the importance of maintaining a strong connection with supporters.
