Luke Littler Makes Triumphant Return with Bahrain Masters Win After World Darts Championship Final

Luke Littler, after his defeat by Luke Humphries in the World Darts Championship final, secured his first televised victory at the Bahrain Masters. Facing Man Lok Leung, Littler faced an early setback, trailing by two legs and struggling with doubles. However, a remarkable 151 checkout turned the tide, propelling him to a 3-2 lead. Subsequently, Littler displayed composure on the stage, sealing the match with a stylish 120 checkout.

Meanwhile, world champion Luke Humphries continued his dominant streak with a resounding 6-0 victory over Abdulla Saeed. Humphries displayed clinical precision, achieving a 100 percent success rate on doubles. His stellar performance sets up a quarter-final clash with Gerwyn Price, who secured a 6-4 win against Reynaldo Rivera. Despite Rivera’s impressive 104 finish, a crucial miss at tops handed Price the advantage, allowing him to avoid a deciding leg.

Michael van Gerwen also bounced back impressively, securing a 6-0 win over Hasan Haji with a notable 103 average. This victory provided redemption for van Gerwen after his unexpected quarter-final loss to Scott Williams at Alexandra Palace. Looking ahead, Premier League Darts is set to return to Sky Sports on February 1, commencing with the 17-week extravaganza in Cardiff, concluding with the Play-Offs on May 23.
