Marko Secures Red Bull Future: Three Years Contract Honored After Talks

Red Bull motorsport adviser Helmut Marko has confirmed his continued association with the team after discussions with CEO Oliver Mintzlaff. Marko faced internal scrutiny amid the controversy surrounding team boss Christian Horner. Following talks, Marko stated that all concerns were addressed and he will honor the remaining three years of his contract.

Max Verstappen’s strong support for Marko played a crucial role with the three times world champion emphasizing Marko’s significance to his decision-making within the team. Marko expressed gratitude for Verstappen’s loyalty emphasizing the need for calm to return to Red Bull after weeks of turmoil.

The controversy involving Horner was subject to internal investigations and subsequent dismissals of allegations by the company’s board. Marko refuted claims of leaking information to the media labeling such accusations as baseless. Mintzlaff affirmed the team’s satisfaction with its management.
