Nathan Collins Backs John O’Shea for Permanent Republic of Ireland Manager Role

Republic of Ireland defender Nathan Collins has expressed his support for John O’Shea to become the permanent manager after O’Shea completed his interim role with a 1-0 defeat against Switzerland. O’Shea has expressed his desire to continue as manager and the FAI is expected to announce a new permanent manager next month.

O’Shea took on the temporary role following the departure of Stephen Kenny. Collins praised O’Shea and his coaching staff, including former manager Brian Kerr for their fresh approach blended with experience. Despite the defeat against Switzerland, Collins believes the team showed promise and played well particularly in the latter stages of the game.
