Premier League Giants Set for Transfer Battle Over Crystal Palace Star Michael Olise

Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly set to engage in a summer battle for the signing of Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise. Both clubs are impressed by the midfielder’s performances at Selhurst Park and a substantial offer is anticipated. Manchester City known for their lavish spending considers Olise a significant acquisition for the upcoming season.
However, Manchester United guided by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are also eager to secure the 22 years old as a flagship addition. The clubs are expected to present formal proposals with City hoping the allure of joining Pep Guardiola’s star-studded squad will sway Olise in their favor. A transfer fee of £60 million or more is speculated with City unfazed by the cost.
Olise’s skill and versatility on the right flank make him appealing to both United and City who are seeking reinforcements. Chelsea had previously expressed interest but Olise opted to commit to Palace at the season’s start. Game time is considered a crucial factor in Olise’s decision making having scored six goals and provided three assists this season.
His contract runs until 2027 with an undisclosed release clause. However, a recent injury in a match against Brighton may impact his availability for upcoming fixtures. Despite being initially ruled out, Olise was brought on during the match leading to a recurrence of his injury much to the disappointment of Palace manager Roy Hodgson.
