Referee Department Admits Error in St Mirren VAR Decision

St Mirren has stated that the Scottish FA’s referee department agrees that the video assistant referee (VAR) should have recommended an on-field review regarding a penalty decision during their match against Ross County. Referee Chris Graham did not penalize a handball incident involving Ryan Leak and St Mirren believes an on-field review was warranted.

Despite the acknowledgment of the mistake by the referee department, St Mirren expressed frustration that the correct process was not followed during the game which ended in a 1-1 draw. The point earned kept St Mirren on track for consecutive top-six finishes while Ross County remained in the relegation play-off position.
