Romero Frustrated as VAR Disallows Tottenham Goal in Arsenal Defeat

Cristian Romero expressed frustration with the referee’s decision to disallow Micky van de Ven’s goal in Sunday match against Arsenal. The Gunners took an early lead through a Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg own goal. Despite Tottenham believing they had equalized with Van de Ven’s goal, VAR ruled it offside prompting Romero to compare it to a similar goal conceded against West Ham earlier in the season.

However, Romero later deleted his post, likely realizing he had actually played a role in allowing the West Ham goal. Arsenal capitalized on the disallowed goal scoring twice before halftime. Tottenham managed to pull back two goals including one from Romero but ultimately lost 3-2.
