Ronnie O’Sullivan Opens Up About ‘Yips’ Struggle Amid Tour Championship Triumph

Ronnie O’Sullivan the world number one in snooker admitted to feeling scared to play the game due to struggles with the “yips” as he advanced to the Tour Championship final. Despite facing challenges, O’Sullivan managed to defeat Gary Wilson 10-7 with three century breaks in the match.

He credited his efforts to change his mindset and focus on the positives. O’Sullivan emphasized the importance of mental strength and seeking support from psychiatrist Steve Peters to overcome his mental hurdles. Looking ahead, he expressed determination to commit to improving his mental game and returning to form.

The Tour Championship featuring the top players on snooker’s one year ranking list is now in its sixth edition. O’Sullivan a seven times world champion, is set to face either Mark Allen or Mark Williams in the final. Allen and Williams will compete in the second semi-final.
