Former Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg has been arrested and charged following a weekend incident in Hawick his hometown.
The 31 years old was charged at Hawick police station and released on an undertaking to appear at Jedburgh sheriff court later.
Police were called following reports of a disturbance. Hogg with an illustrious rugby career is scheduled to participate in a cycling charity challenge for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
He unexpectedly retired last summer and received an MBE in the 2024 New Year Honours. Hogg is Scotland’s all times leading try-scorer and co-owns a restaurant in Glasgow.
