Manchester United is reportedly eyeing Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong and Edmond Tapsoba to strengthen their defense in the upcoming summer transfer window. The duo has played pivotal roles in Leverkusen’s impressive Bundesliga season with the team currently leading the table by five points. Frimpong a right back had been previously linked with a move to Old Trafford having spent time in Man City’s academy.
The 23 years old who signed a contract extension until 2028 has been a standout performer with 27 appearances this season. United is also said to be interested in Tapsoba a 25 years old center back from Burkina Faso as they seek young and athletic options for the upcoming season. Tapsoba contracted until 2028 has long been on United’s radar as they face uncertainties with contracts and the future of their current defenders.
