Wagner Reacts to Klopp’s Decision to Leave Liverpool

Norwich City manager David Wagner revealed that he “wasn’t shocked” by his close friend Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. Despite an emotional atmosphere at Anfield where Liverpool defeated Norwich 5-2 in the FA Cup fourth round, Wagner refrained from discussing private conversations with Klopp.

He expressed his respect for Klopp’s achievements and wished him success until the end of the season. Regarding the match, Wagner acknowledged Liverpool’s deserved win and praised his team’s effort but emphasized the challenge of facing a top-quality side. Despite the loss, Wagner sees it as a positive step for Norwich urging his players to focus on recovery for the Championship.
