Wolves to Discuss Contract Extension with Manager Gary O’Neil

Wolves are planning contract talks with manager Gary O’Neil at the end of the season seeking to extend his three years deal signed last summer. The 40 years old took over after Julen Lopetegui’s departure and has guided Wolves to the FA Cup quarter-finals and a place in the top half of the Premier League table.

The club’s sporting director Matt Hobbs praised O’Neil’s meticulous approach and work ethic. Despite financial losses, Wolves aim to be self-sustainable and resist selling key players with Hobbs expressing a desire to reinvest wisely for progress.

The club faces potential Premier League sanctions if losses exceed £105m over a three seasons period. Hobbs expects Wolves to avoid charges for their 2023-24 accounts. Everton and Nottingham Forest are currently facing hearings for similar breaches.
