Jrue Holiday Praises Tatum in Celtics’ Second NBA Finals Win

Jrue Holiday led the Boston Celtics with 26 points in their 105-98 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, giving the Celtics a 2-0 lead in the NBA finals. Jayson Tatum came close to recording a triple-double, showcasing his versatility with 18 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds, demonstrating his impact on both ends of the court. His all-around performance was instrumental in the Boston Celtics’ victory over the Dallas Mavericks in game two of the NBA finals.

Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double for the Mavericks with 32 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds but struggled with turnovers and missed free throws. The Celtics capitalized on their free throw efficiency, making 19 out of 20 attempts compared to the Mavericks’ 16 out of 24. Jrue Holiday praised Tatum’s leadership and playmaking, crediting him for making the right decisions under pressure.

Jaylen Brown and Derrick White contributed significantly to the Celtics’ victory with 21 and 18 points respectively. The Mavericks’ next chance to bounce back is on Wednesday in Dallas where Doncic acknowledges the need for improvement, particularly in shooting and turnovers. Despite his standout performance, Doncic emphasizes the team’s collective effort and the need for everyone to step up.

PJ Washington was the Mavericks’ second-highest scorer with 17 points while Kyrie Irving managed 16 points for the Celtics. Irving acknowledges Doncic’s frustration but emphasizes the team’s responsibility to support each other and improve collectively.
